Mike had some vacation time so we spur of the moment decided to go back and visit family and friends in California. We didn't tell a sole. Had recipe for disaster written all over it but also had the potential to create some tears for the grandparents, who couldn't resist right? Booked the tickets two weeks before departure and showed up on the front porches of family 7 months pregnant. Disasters minimally avoided and tears were to be had. Spent oodles of time with family at the beach, Disneyland and parks. Probably our last visit to California for a couple of years. No fun to fly with one kid let alone two in the future.
