Backyard Swing

We've noticed that ALL of our neighbors have a swing in their backyard...must be a NC thing. Well the weather here is fabulous, we want to spend more time in the backyard, we want to fit in here and I've always wanted a swing in the backyard after spending many summers on my grandparents swing playing an airline stewardess, so we bought a swing. It was on clearance since the summer is almost over and Mike thinks the manager liked us (I think he just wanted to get rid of the swings) so we got a super good deal. Seriously...almost free! It took us 3 hours to put it together in the dark but it was worth it and we had a good time. Sorry neighbors for all of the noise.

Caught in the act!

While I was gone in NC Rusty developed a nasty habit of sleeping on the guest room bed leaving his hair and drool behind. Yuck! Don't worry I have since gotten the bed spread dry cleaned and now keep the door shut so you all can feel clean when you come to visit. We finally caught him in the act long enough to grab the camara and document proof.

My Welcome Baq Surprise!

After spending the day in 5 different airports I finally arrived home in NC to the sweetest surprise ever. Not only was the house nearly spotless but Mike also took the time to bake (yes, bake.... a talent Mike doesn't let everybody know he has...so ssh!). It was really yummy and super thoughtful:)

SOLD

I sold my Hyundai Accent within 2 hours of posting it on Craig's list for full price! Me and that little micro machine have had a lot of good times but it was time to move on. So all of you who had the special privilege of taking a ride in it may say your goodbyes at this time. So many memories in that thing.

Rusty's New Outdoor House

Jen is back in CA

Welcome back! I'm here for 3 1/2 weeks to finish up my last nursing course. I'm working in peds @ LLU Children's Hospital. I'm soooo excited and have fallen in love with peds! Since I've been here I have spent a lot of time with family and friends. I never have been good at remembering to take pictures, so I didn't capture a lot of the good times I shared with them all. Thanks to my brother's reminder I played photographer after they finished giving the family dogs a bath. Maggy is the dalmatian...she's super old and Oakley, a chocolate lab, is a new addition. It was very difficult getting her to sit still to take pics.
Since being here, I have revisited all my favorite places to eat. North Carolina just doesn't make yellow curry or Miguel's burritos like Cali can. I have hung out with lots of good friends...you all know who you are and amazing family. But I'm starting to get home sick for Mike, Rusty and my bed! So thanks for the scorching heat, great food, even better company but I must return to NC:)
